Cost Accountant
We are seeking a hands-on Cost Accountant to take ownership of all cost accounting functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to serve as a key business partner to both finance and operations, helping drive informed decision-making through accurate costing, insightful analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Success in this position requires more than strong accounting skills.

The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing teams to understand cost drivers, improve operational performance, and deliver actionable recommendations. Cost Accounting & Financial Analysis
Lead the organization's cost accounting processes and provide analytical support for business decisions. Own product costing, standard cost development, and variance analysis. Maintain and improve Bills of Material (BOMs) and routing data within the ERP system. Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances and provide actionable insights.

Support inventory valuation, reserves, and month-end close activities. Prepare account analyses, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations. Operations Partnership
Evaluate make-versus-buy opportunities and provide financial recommendations. Support cost reduction initiatives through analysis of materials, processes, and suppliers. Operations & Process Improvement
Drive efficiency, accuracy, and visibility across financial and operational processes. Improve costing accuracy, reporting capabilities, and data quality through ERP utilization.

Develop reporting that enhances visibility into margins, product costs, and operational performance. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Required
Direct cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Required
Strong understanding of standard costing, BOMs, routings, and inventory accounting
Required
Experience partnering with engineering and operations teams
