We are currently recruiting for an experiencedMechanical Maintenance Engineerto join a well-established and highly reputable organisation based inHatfield, Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position withexcellent company benefits, a strong private pension scheme, overtime opportunities and genuine training and progression prospects.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of building services and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment and facilities remain safe, reliable and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry outPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)and reactive maintenance.
• Maintain and service a range of mechanical building services equipment.
• Work onpumps, valves and associated mechanical systems.
• Maintain and fault-find onboilers and chillers.
• Maintaincalorifiers, FCUs and AHUs.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation.
• Work proactively to identify potential issues before they result in equipment failure.
• Support the wider engineering and facilities team when required.

The Ideal Candidate

The successfulMechanical Maintenance Engineerwill ideally have:

• Previous experience within amechanical maintenance or building services environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Experience working withpumps, valves, boilers, chillers, calorifiers, FCUs and AHUs.
• A good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A professional and proactive approach to maintenance.
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
