Job Description

We're Hiring Manager - Operations & Systems CherYsh Trust Bangalore

.

Are you a finance and operations leader who wants your work to mean something?

CherYsh Trust is a Bangalore-based nonprofit working across 100 villages in rural Karnataka. We run digital education labs, English-Science-Maths programs, and women's skilling initiatives that reach over 3,000 children and 1,000 women every year. As we scale, we need someone to build the systems, governance, and processes that make sustainable growth possible.

This is that role.

Finance & Accounting

• Build and manage annual budgets, monthly variance analysis, and cash flows

• Implement and own Zoho Books across the organisation

• Work with our CA firm on IT filings, annual audits, and banking relationships

• Manage corpus investments and fixed deposit oversight

• Supervise SOPS for key income and expenditures line items


Governance & Compliance

• Oversee all Board meetings, resolutions, and NGO filings

• Ensure 80G, 12A, FCRA, and CSR compliance - clean, on time, every time

• Manage quarterly donor utilisation certificates with evidence-based reporting

• Maintain all licenses, registrations, and documentation on Google Workspace/ZoHo


People & HR

• Maintain HR records across 80-100 full-time, part-time, consultant, and volunteer staff

• Manage onboarding, leave, POSH compliance, and employee records on Zoho HR

• Build relationships with partner universities and corporate HR teams for volunteer pipelines

• Oversee Certification programs for university interns and part-time teachers


Technology & Digital Transformation

• Lead Zoho implementation across Books, HR, Donor CRM, and Project MIS

• Drive a digital-first culture across a non-technical team

• Supervise our senior technology consultant and own adoption outcomes

Expected Outcome

By Month 6 - Zoho Books live, all staff on HR module, Board governance SOPs in place, first clean donor utilisation cycle completed.

By Month 12 - Clean audit, real-time MIS dashboards operational, donor compliance calendar running on schedule, field operations systems embedded.

What We're Looking For

MBA Finance / Inter CA / Master's in Finance

5+ years in a governance-managed environment - banking, financial services, corporate operations, or consulting

Hands-on with accounting software - Zoho Books or Tally preferred

Comfortable driving technology adoption across non-technical teams

Strong on compliance - NGO regulatory knowledge is a plus, not a prerequisite

High ownership, low ego - this is a small team with direct board access and real accountability The Role

In Brief• Bangalore (Koramangala / Benson Town area)

• Full-time, 5 days a week Occasional travel to field locations in Karnataka (quarterly)

• 10-15 LPA, commensurate with experience. Performance bonus eligible

• Reports to: CEO/Alternate, with active engagement with the Board
