About the RoleThe JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for a Site Technician to join our team in a permanent full time capacity. Reporting to the IT Operations Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the information technology at sites and providing hands on support. The responsibilities cover all information and communication requirements including but not limited to networking, desktops, scanners, Kronos clocks, communications and software licensing, IT security and printers for the site. This will include collaboration with other IT team members to provide the best possible service to the business.
Responsibilities- Provide hands on and face to face hardware and software support.
- Install, move, add, and change equipment and software.
- Assist with provisioning and support of end user devices (phones, laptops, etc.).
- Perform proactive monitoring and reactive troubleshooting to identify potential problems.
- Maintain and record (ITSM) communications on all request, incident and change management tasks in a timely manner.
- Provide project/task reports/updates as requested by management.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles.
- Contribute to key business activities as required.
- Some after hours support may be required.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- High level customer service, analytical, problem solving and research skills.
- Detailed understanding of Microsoft Office products, Windows, iOS and Android operating systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Initiative and strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
