Hybrid working model with a requirement to attend the office three (3) days per week at either the Bella Vista or Chifley Square (Sydney CBD) location. This is a permanent, full time opportunity with the Reserve Bank of Australia.
About the TeamThe IT Operations Analyst plays a key role in operational readiness, incident and problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to drive standardisation, reliability, and scalability of services. The position requires strong collaboration, a service oriented mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, always on environment.
About the RoleThe role is responsible for delivering enterprise monitoring and automation support, ensuring critical systems and services are proactively monitored, issues are detected early, and operational processes are automated wherever possible to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Key duties include:
- Installing, configuring, supporting and maintaining enterprise automation, scheduling, deployment and release management tools.
- Monitoring systems and services, providing 2nd level support in line with predefined operational controls, processes and requirements.
- Responding to system requests and messages while monitoring IT incidents across operating systems, networks and application environments.
- Configuring monitoring software and enterprise scheduler tools, and creating PowerShell scripts and API configurations.
- Continuously improving the efficiency and effectiveness of IT systems and operations.
- Maintaining documentation to comply with relevant IT standards.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an IT Operations Analyst or a similar role within large, complex organisations or transformation programmes.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with a structured, proactive working style.
- Clear, confident communication skills and experience working within project governance frameworks.
- Experience configuring Application Performance Monitoring alerting thresholds and enterprise monitoring tools with infrastructure, application, database, AI Ops and ML capabilities.
- Working knowledge of operating systems and IT infrastructure (Windows, Linux, virtual machines, containers) and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash and JavaScript.
- Proven experience with toolsets including Safeguard, Spectrum, Tidal and similar platforms.
- Willingness to work outside standard hours as required by operational needs.
