Job Description & Skill Requirements

• Requires a BS degree in Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of 5+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Candidate should have specialized experience in purchasing and/or contracts.
• Experience with CAD drawings, including knowledge of automotive and prototype parts, is required.
• Expert PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other technical software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
• SAP experience required.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Core Capabilities

• Strong coordination and project support abilities in a fast-moving, changing environment.
• Ability to manage open purchase orders (POs) and track multiple items simultaneously.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with designers, stakeholders, and external suppliers.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, particularly in an R&D environment where priorities may shift frequently.

Communication & Professional Skills

• Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
• Comfortable interacting with suppliers and internal customers.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and strong follow-through.
• Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Experience Level

• Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience; flexibility based on overall qualifications.
• Not suitable for entry-level candidates or recent college graduates.
• Emphasis on capability, adaptability, and relevant experience over years of tenure.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with Ariba / SAP Business Network for supplier communication.
• Automotive industry experience.
• Experience working in an R&D or prototype environment.

Technical Exposure

• Basic CAD drawing interpretation.
• Ability to view drawings and pull relevant part information.
• No CAD manipulation experience required.
