About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking multiple engineers to support vehicle homologation and compliance activities for global vehicle programs. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team that plays a critical role in ensuring vehicles meet safety, emissions, environmental, and market-specific regulatory requirements before they can be sold worldwide.
This position sits within the Homologation Planning & Compliance Team and offers the opportunity to help shape and refine emerging processes while partnering with engineering, program management, and compliance stakeholders across the organization.
Candidates interested in regulatory compliance, cross-functional project coordination, automotive engineering, and process improvement will find this role particularly rewarding.
What is Homologation?
Homologation is the process of ensuring that a vehicle, component, or system meets all required regulatory, safety, emissions, and environmental requirements for sale in a specific market. Think of it as the vehicle's official certification and approval process before launch.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assess emissions, safety, and certification risks associated with engineering changes.
  • Support homologation planning activities across multiple vehicle programs.
  • Develop and maintain homologation plans and compliance tracking documentation.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Product Development, TPMs, engineering teams, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Identify and track potential impacts from program changes, product updates, market requirements, or regulatory changes.
  • Support the collection and coordination of technical data required for homologation documentation.
  • Drive stakeholder communications and ensure action items are completed on schedule.
  • Escalate compliance concerns to approval engineers as needed.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and help develop more efficient compliance-related workflows.
  • Assist with automation efforts using tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, Python, or similar technologies.
Team Environment
  • Highly collaborative and cross-functional role.
  • Frequent interaction with engineering, product development, and program teams.
  • Opportunity to work with global stakeholders.
  • Exposure to vehicle compliance, certification, and regulatory planning activities across global markets.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2+ years of automotive industry experience. Strong junior candidates will be considered.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects, compliance activities, validation, testing, or vehicle development programs.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other business tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Comfortable working onsite in an engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vehicle homologation experience.
  • Automotive regulatory compliance experience.
  • Knowledge of emissions, fuel economy, or vehicle safety regulations.
  • Experience with engineering change management processes.
  • Vehicle testing or validation experience.
  • Design Release Engineering experience.
  • Calibration Engineering experience.
  • Program Management experience within automotive product development.
  • Familiarity with EU7, EPA, CARB, or other global regulatory requirements.
  • ADI system experience.
  • Power BI, Power Automate, VBA, Python, or other automation tool experience.
  • Exposure to global vehicle certification and approval processes.
Why This Role?
  • Opportunity to support major vehicle programs and global launches.
  • Work with a growing team where processes are still being developed and improved.
  • Strong exposure to automotive compliance, regulations, and global certification activities.
  • Highly visible, cross-functional role with interaction across engineering and program organizations.
