Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Overview: My client is seeking a skilled and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in improving and optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and reducing costs while maintaining a high standard of safety. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production processes, from design through to full-scale manufacturing. Analyze production methods, materials, and equipment to determine the most cost-effective and reliable processes. Develop and implement process improvements to reduce downtime, defects, and costs. Collaborate with the product design team to ensure manufacturability of new product designs. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to equipment, processes, and materials. Maintain and modify existing equipment to enhance performance and reliability. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing process. Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze production data and metrics to report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaborate with suppliers to source materials and components that meet quality standards. Assist in the development and implementation of new production lines or facilities. Perform cost analysis and value engineering activities to meet cost targets. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a manufacturing or production engineering role. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other manufacturing software. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities. Attention to detail with a focus on quality. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar quality systems. Experience with automated manufacturing systems. Knowledge of materials and supply chain management.
