Project Engineer - Manufacturing

Project Engineer Sutton Coldfield Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00 £40,000 - £48,000 + Benefits Opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business.

This is a varied role where you'll be responsible for delivering engineering projects from concept through to commissioning, helping to improve manufacturing performance, efficiency, quality, and safety.

This position would suit a proactive engineer who enjoys managing projects, working with suppliers and contractors, and driving continuous improvement across a manufacturing environment.

The Role Lead engineering projects from initial concept through to completion.<br />Produce and interpret CAD drawings and technical documentation.<br />Specify, procure, install, and commission new manufacturing equipment.<br />Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.<br />Coordinate contractors and suppliers, ensuring work is completed safely and effectively.<br />Support continuous improvement and manufacturing optimisation initiatives.<br />Ensure compliance with health &amp; safety and site regulations.

About You HNC/HND or Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.<br />Proven experience delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.<br />Experience introducing and commissioning capital equipment.<br />Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).<br />Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.<br />Confident managing suppliers, contractors, and key stakeholders.
