Job description

Quality isn't just something they talk about here. It's at the heart of everything they do, every day, on every project.

As a senior you'll take the lead in delivering high-quality mechanical building services designs across a diverse range of projects.

Education is the specialism for this independent consultant, but work extends well beyond the classroom. From commercial developments and residential schemes to leisure centres and blue-light projects, you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors and make a genuine impact.

You won't simply be another name on an organisation chart here. You'll take ownership of your work, have a voice in how projects are delivered and build lasting relationships with colleagues, clients and industry partners.

The role

You'll take ownership of mechanical building services design from initial concept through to construction, bringing your technical expertise, experience and judgement to every stage of project delivery.

Working as part of a close-knit, collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading mechanical building services design from concept through to construction.
  • Producing and coordinating high-quality technical designs using Revit and specialist HVAC design software.
  • Managing design deliverables, technical standards and project deadlines.
  • Working closely with clients, architects, contractors and other design disciplines to achieve successful project outcomes.

What you'll have:

  • Experience: A strong background in mechanical building services engineering, with the ability to independently lead and deliver designs.
  • Revit and BIM: Confident using Revit, with a good understanding of BIM processes and collaborative design delivery.
  • Communication: Comfortable working with clients, contractors and colleagues, with a practical and collaborative approach to coordination.

What you'll get:

  • Ownership: Take responsibility for your designs and see your work progress from initial concept to completed building.
  • Variety: Work across education, commercial, residential, leisure and blue-light sectors.
  • Progression: A structured career development pathway, chartership support and mentorship from experienced engineers.
  • Flexibility: Flexible and hybrid working arrangements that recognise the importance of work-life balance.
  • Rewards: Competitive salary, private healthcare and enhanced employer pension contributions.

Why join?

We value knowledge, experience and fresh thinking. Whatever your level, your ideas matter and your voice will be heard.

You'll work directly alongside architects, contractors, clients and fellow professionals, building relationships and shaping projects together.

Quality is built into how we work. Our ISO 9001-certified processes underpin our approach to delivering consistently high standards across every project.

We're a team that takes pride in its work, supports one another and believes the best results come from working together.

If you're an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking for greater ownership, varied projects and a team that genuinely values what you bring, we'd love to hear from you.
