Job description

Location: Kidderminster
Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm10pm fixed shift
Experienced with buses or coaches? Looking for a set shift you can plan around?
An established bus operator is looking for a skilled PSV Engineer to join its engineering team in Kidderminster. You'll help keep a busy fleet safe, reliable and ready for service, working a fixed Monday-to-Friday late shift.
The role:
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a fleet of PSV vehicles.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
  • Complete safety inspections, identify defects and carry out preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and address any required repairs.
  • Respond to breakdowns and running defects to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Complete maintenance records accurately and maintain a safe, organised workshop.

What we're looking for:
  • Experience as a PSV Engineer, Bus Mechanic or Coach Technician.
  • A recognised qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and a thorough approach to vehicle safety.
  • The ability to work independently and support the wider engineering team.
  • A PCV licence would be an advantage.
