Job Summary

Develop technical expertise and understanding of customer applications in order to assist customers with engineered solutions and to support the development of new products for the market.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for customer applications with an ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements
• Support new product development projects from research, through planning and implementation
• Support customer relationship development and visit processes by serving as the subject matter expert in customer meetings (conference calls, virtual meetings, face to face, etc)
• Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical video, webinar, application engineering profile, etc.) to promote our technical expertise.
• Assist Market Director with market gross profit, sales trends, and quote follow up analysis and corrective actions that lead to strategies for market growth
• Assist Market Director with supplier development projects
• Assist Market Director with the development of internal training documents and internal sales team training
• Maintain customer and market strategy documentation in CRM

Qualifications and Competencies

• Ability to understand customer's application requirements and translate that into understanding into internal capability development
• Ability to explain technical product information to customers
• Electrical, plastics, composites, or elastomeric experience preferred

Education and Experience

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering
• One to three years' experience in similar role preferred

Work Environment

The work environment is typical of most office environments; occasionally, the position will be required to be on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
