Senior Snowflake Data Architect

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid - 3 Days)

Role Overview

Westlake is seeking a highly experienced Senior Snowflake Data Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of a Marketing Data Management platform built on Snowflake and AWS. This role will drive the creation of a trusted marketing data foundation that consolidates data from multiple marketing, CRM, ERP, and business platforms into a governed enterprise data platform.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Snowflake architecture, cloud data engineering, data governance, SQL optimization, and large-scale enterprise data platforms.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, and Analytics
• 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake architecture experience
• Extensive SQL expertise
• Strong AWS cloud architecture experience
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms

Responsibilities

• Design and lead Snowflake architecture for Westlake's Marketing Data Management platform
• Develop enterprise data models, ingestion frameworks, and data governance standards
• Architect data pipelines from:
• Google Analytics (GA4)
• Google Ads
• Salesforce
• SAP
• JD Edwards
• Marketing platforms and agency data feeds
• Design Snowflake security, RBAC, data masking, and governance controls
• Guide implementation of raw, curated, and presentation data layers
• Establish metadata, lineage, and data quality standards
• Review and optimize SQL performance across Snowflake workloads
• Work closely with business stakeholders, marketing teams, and executive leadership
• Mentor engineering resources and provide technical leadership
