The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Oracle Project Management / Project Financial Management (PFM) Consultant to join a growing Finance Transformation team, leading functional delivery across complex Oracle Cloud ERP programmes.
This is an opportunity to work with major organisations on large-scale finance transformation projects, helping them optimise project financial processes, improve controls and introduce automation and AI-enabled capabilities across Oracle Fusion.
You'll take ownership of functional workstreams, work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, and help shape solutions that deliver measurable improvements across finance and project operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead functional workstreams across Oracle ERP and Finance Transformation programmes, managing planning, design, delivery and implementation.
  • Own the functional design and delivery of Oracle Project Financial Management solutions, including Project Costing, Project Billing and Project Control.
  • Translate business requirements into end-to-end solutions covering project setup, planning, cost capture, allocations, billing, revenue recognition, capitalisation and accounting.
  • Ensure project financial processes integrate effectively with Procurement, Expenses, Time and Labour, Payroll, Fixed Assets and General Ledger.
  • Facilitate client workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, design reviews and solution playback sessions.
  • Manage functional design decisions, dependencies, risks and issues, working across Finance, Technology and other functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen financial controls and improve automation across project financial management.
  • Explore the application of AI and Generative AI within Oracle Finance to improve productivity, user experience and process efficiency.
  • Support end-to-end implementation activities, including design, build, testing, deployment and go-live transition.
  • Build trusted client relationships and contribute to the development and growth of the Finance Transformation practice.
Essential Experience
  • Strong experience delivering Oracle ERP and Finance Transformation programmes, particularly Oracle Projects and Project Financial Management.
  • Practical functional expertise in Oracle Fusion Project Management / PFM, including Project Costing, Project Billing and Project Control.
  • Strong understanding of project accounting and the end-to-end project financial lifecycle, from project setup through to General Ledger reconciliation.
  • Experience supporting different project models, including internal projects, customer-funded or contract-funded projects, and capital projects.
  • Understanding of integrations between project financial management and wider finance, procurement, payroll, expenses, fixed assets and operational systems.
  • Experience leading functional design and delivery across the Oracle ERP implementation lifecycle, using Agile, Waterfall or similar delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to identify process improvement, simplification and automation opportunities, including relevant AI and Generative AI use cases.
  • Experience managing requirements, design decisions, dependencies, risks and issues across functional workstreams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.
  • Must be UK-based and hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, the required UK security clearance.
  • Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK without employer sponsorship.
Desirable Experience
  • Previous experience in a technology or management consultancy.
  • Oracle Cloud certifications.
  • Experience managing project delivery, stakeholder expectations and functional teams.
What's on Offer?
  • The opportunity to work on complex, large-scale Oracle Cloud and Finance Transformation programmes.
  • Exposure to major organisations and challenging business transformation projects.
  • A role combining functional leadership, client engagement and hands-on Oracle solution delivery.
  • The opportunity to explore AI-enabled finance processes and emerging ERP capabilities.
  • Hybrid working, based from Belfast, London or Manchester.
  • Ongoing professional development and opportunities to progress your Oracle consulting career.
Interested? If you have strong Oracle Fusion Projects / PFM experience and want to lead functional delivery across major Finance Transformation programmes, we'd like to hear from you.
