JOB TITLE:

Store Tech Solutions Architect

LOCATION:

Atlanta, GA (Hybrid, 4 days on-site)

ROLE SUMMARY:

Design and enhance the networking, point-of-sale, payment, and security architecture that supports restaurant environments. This role owns scalable, standardized solutions across distributed corporate and franchise locations, with a focus on reliability, security, and operational continuity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and maintain LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, routing, switching, and network segmentation architectures.
• Architect secure and resilient connectivity for POS systems, payment devices, digital ordering platforms, and kitchen technologies.
• Define and maintain standardized network and security configurations across corporate and franchise locations.
• Embed security principles into infrastructure and POS designs while aligning with PCI DSS and corporate risk frameworks.
• Partner with ISPs, firewall and security vendors, and POS technology providers to establish architecture standards and support consistent implementation.
• Translate business and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions with support teams, system administrators, and IT leaders.
• Establish architecture governance, documentation, and operational standards for restaurant technology environments.
• Identify infrastructure vulnerabilities and lead remediation strategies while supporting long-term network, POS, and security roadmaps.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Hands-on experience designing and supporting POS, payment systems, and store-level infrastructure in retail or restaurant technology environments.
• Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, segmentation, VPN, routing, and switching.
• Strong understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, secure network design, and PCI DSS requirements.
• Experience designing scalable, standardized solutions across distributed locations.
• Experience working with ISPs, security vendors, and POS technology partners.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• A bachelor's degree, experience in QSR or franchise-based environments, experience with SD-WAN and cloud networking, and certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, PCIP, or AWS/Azure networking specialties are preferred.
