Job Description:

Responsibilities

·         Lead the mechanical design and development of custom industrial balancing systems and automated machinery.

·         Design systems incorporating pneumatics, hydraulics, actuators, tooling, fixturing, drilling stations, milling stations, and other automation technologies.

·         Perform engineering calculations including precision ISO fits, tolerance stack-up analysis, component sizing, and fixture design.

·         Lead the mechanical engineering effort on assigned projects by coordinating work assignments and providing technical direction to engineering team members.

·         Collaborate closely with manufacturing, sales, testing, service, and production teams to deliver high-quality customer solutions.

·         Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance and professional development.

·         Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, design standards, and product performance.

·         Effectively communicate technical concepts and project status across multiple departments.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.

• 10+ years of mechanical design experience in industrial machinery, automation equipment, or custom machine design.

Required Skills

·         Strong knowledge of machine design principles, GD&T, ISO fits, and tolerance stack-up analysis.

·         Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, actuators, tooling, and fixturing.

·         Proficiency with Siemens Solid Edge or comparable 3D CAD software.

·         Experience with Creo (formerly Pro/ENGINEER) is a plus.

·         Demonstrated ability to lead engineering projects and mentor other engineers.

·         Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
