Job Description

You’ll work alongside the HR Director and Recruitment Manager, supporting the organisation with HR administration, recruitment and employee processes.

The role would suit someone with previous administrative/HR experience who is organised, confidential, comfortable working with data and able to manage multiple priorities.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting recruitment administration and interview processes
  • Arranging interviews and managing references
  • Posting vacancies and sending application packs
  • Preparing offer letters and employment contracts
  • Carrying out Right to Work and DBS checks
  • Maintaining HR records, spreadsheets and employee trackers
  • Updating employee information and documentation
  • Supporting staff moves, promotions, leavers and changes to terms
  • Monitoring sickness absence and producing reports
  • Supporting probation and welfare reviews
  • Providing guidance to staff on HR procedures, under the direction of the HR Director
  • Managing HR systems and supporting managers with access
  • Maintaining accurate emergency contact and personnel information
  • Providing general HR administration support

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally within HR
  • Good knowledge of HR procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel
  • Good organisation and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good interpersonal and telephone skills
  • A professional and calm approach
  • An understanding of safeguarding
  • Willingness to develop further HR knowledge and work towards CIPD qualifications
