Overview
We''re looking for a Data Governance Consultant to help expand an enterprise data governance program. This is a highly collaborative, business-facing role focused on improving data quality, governance processes, and master data across the organization.
The ideal candidate has experience partnering with business stakeholders, leading discussions around data governance, documenting standards, and driving adoption of best practices.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business and IT teams to improve data governance and data quality
- Lead meetings with data owners, stewards, and business stakeholders
- Develop data governance standards, policies, and documentation
- Support data catalog, metadata, and data dictionary initiatives
- Identify recurring data quality issues and recommend long-term solutions
- Help define data ownership, stewardship, and governance processes
- Train and educate business users on governance best practices
- Facilitate governance councils and cross-functional working sessions
Qualifications
- Experience with Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), metadata, data catalogs, or data lineage
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience creating governance documentation, standards, or policies
- Comfortable presenting to leadership and facilitating meetings
- Ability to influence business teams and drive process improvements
Nice to Have
- Snowflake or Snowflake Horizon
- Oracle EDM / EDMCS
- Tableau
- Experience implementing or supporting enterprise data governance tools
