Position Overview

Full time, continuing Play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the University's Academic Model data environment Base Salary $131,108 + 17% superannuation


About the opportunity

Join the Academic Model team within the Division of the Academic Registrar (Curriculum and Policy) and help ensure the integrity, accuracy and ongoing effectiveness of curriculum data within the Sydney Student system. This role provides specialist expertise in data analysis, system processes and quality assurance, contributing to the successful management of course and unit information that underpins the University's academic operations and student experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders from other areas within the Division, ICT and faculties to support Academic Model activities

  • Analyse system defects, data quality issues and business requirements to identify and implement effective solutions

  • Support the configuration, testing and validation of system changes and enhancements within Sydney Student

  • Maintain course, award, unit of study and diet data to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Develop and execute SQL queries to support data analysis, quality assurance and data maintenance activities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and procedures


About you

Experience working with complex enterprise systems in a data analysis, systems support or business analysis capacity


Advanced SQL skills and demonstrated experience undertaking data analysis, data maintenance and data quality activities


Experience analysing system defects and supporting the design, testing and implementation of system enhancements


Knowledge of Tribal SITS: Vision is desirable


Understanding of university student lifecycle processes, policies and procedures


Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
