Your opportunityEvery donation tells a story of hope, and behind every successful fundraising campaign is the power of data-driven decision making. As our Data Insights Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping Mission Australia better understand and engage supporters whose generosity helps create positive outcomes for people and communities across Australia. Working within the Marketing Insights & Business Intelligence team, you will transform complex donor and fundraising data into meaningful insights, forecasts and recommendations that inform strategy, optimise campaigns and support sustainable revenue growth. Your key responsibilities will be to:- Develop and deliver donor, campaign and fundraising analysis to support strategic decision making.
- Analyse supporter behaviour, lifetime value, campaign performance and fundraising effectiveness.
- Create dashboards, reports and visualisations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Conduct audience selection, targeting and segmentation analysis for fundraising campaigns.
- Develop forecasting models and predictive analytics to support fundraising outcomes.
- Track fundraising performance against internal targets and industry benchmarks.
- Complete data validation, testing and user acceptance activities to ensure data quality and reliability.
- Partner closely with Fundraising Managers and key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, engaging and non-technical manner to diverse audiences.
- Hands on experience working with Power BI and Azure SQL, and Fabric.
- Experience analysing fundraising, donor or customer data, including lifetime value, attribution and predictive modelling.
- Strong SQL and DAX, reporting and data modelling capabilities.
- Ability to build meaningful dashboards and data visualisations that inform business decisions.
- Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships and delivering insights aligned to business priorities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into compelling business narratives.
- Highly organised, with excellent project coordination, prioritisation and documentation capabilities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and staying current with emerging analytics trends and technologies.
- Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
