Job Title: Senior Project Controls Engineer-Planner
Type: Permanent
Start: ASAP, subject to vetting
Pay: Competitive basic + car allowance + benefits
Location: London (hybrid, 2-3 days onsite)

About the role
Put your planning expertise to work on major nuclear projects. You will build and maintain the schedules that keep complex programmes on track, working closely with project managers and delivery teams to spot emerging issues early, plan recovery, and keep management informed. Ideal for someone who takes pride in the quality of their plans and enjoys seeing them shape real-world delivery. Exposure to multiple sectors and a collaborative professional community.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project schedules aligned to project requirements, developed with the project manager and team.

  • Reduce uncertainty, clarify objectives, and improve efficiency.

  • Help project managers schedule work and coordinate assignments.

  • Evaluate schedule progress and performance, and identify developing problem areas.

  • Support timely and effective change management.

  • Help produce status reports that keep management informed.

  • Analyse alternative courses of action or recovery for slipped schedules.

Requirements

  • Professional Project Controls experience specialising in Planning and Scheduling across the whole project lifecycle, in one or more sectors.

  • Strong proficiency in Primavera (P6) and other planning and resourcing software.

  • Ability to coordinate with other teams and bring multidisciplinary knowledge.

  • Degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).

  • Membership of a body such as APM or PMI.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience.

UK National Security Vetting Status - Ability to gain BPSS/SC clearance
