SEN / SEND Tutor | Crawley, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are seeking passionate educators to join a community-focused organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role

• Provide in-person, remote, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils from KS1 - KS5, referred by local authorities and schools, with a focus on trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Develop flexible learning plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Plan and report on lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
• Contribute to raising the standard of education for vulnerable young people.
• Work with learners experiencing a range of needs including MLD, SLD, and PMLD.

What You'll Need

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed) and 2 professional references.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
