Brand Identity Designer

About the Role
A national QSR brand’s in-house creative studio is seeking a Brand Identity Designer to help develop and evolve its visual identity system (VIS). This designer will create brand visual assets, contribute illustration within the identity system, and help maintain the design guidelines that keep the brand consistent across every touchpoint, from digital and print to packaging.

This is a role for a strategic design thinker with an exceptional eye. The ideal candidate brings a portfolio that is beautiful, playful, and confident: bold simplicity, elegance, and outstanding typography. You’ll execute brand projects that help the organization stay authentic, scale thoughtfully, and raise the bar on quality and consistency, including systems built with international expansion in mind.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital, print, and packaging assets within the brand’s visual identity system, in collaboration with the Sr. Design Lead
• Create and integrate illustration as part of the visual identity system
• Evolve the VIS and provide guidance on how brand elements should be used across touchpoints
• Apply and champion systems thinking, and help educate teams on its value
• Build identity systems that scale, including for international markets
• Manage timelines, communications, and details across multiple projects in various stages
• Meet with cross-functional teams to support design initiatives across the organization
• Collaborate with, consult, and provide creative feedback to internal teams, suppliers, and agencies

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a creative environment (in-house studio or agency)
• Strong experience developing visual identity systems
• Packaging design experience strongly preferred
• Illustration skills, particularly illustration used within a brand system
• Exceptional typography skills
• Print, digital, and production experience
• Strong multitasking, time management, communication, and organizational skills
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field

 

Portfolio Required
A portfolio is required to be considered. Please include work that showcases brand identity systems, packaging, illustration, and typography. Polished, elegant, and playful work with strong simplicity will stand out.
