Senior Project Manager and Scrum Master - Workday Adaptive Planning

Overview

Seeking a senior Project Manager and Certified Scrum Master to lead end-to-end Workday Adaptive Planning initiatives across Finance and workforce planning. This role owns project delivery, facilitates Agile execution, manages financial and resource plans, and coordinates business, technical, and vendor teams through implementation and adoption.

Must Have

• Project management experience delivering a Workday Adaptive Planning implementation or major enhancement, end to end.
• Experience with workforce planning in Workday Adaptive Planning, including planning processes, headcount or position planning, and coordination with Finance and HR stakeholders.
• Combined Project Manager and Scrum Master experience; Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred.
• Strong budget and financial management, including resource hours and costs, forecasts, SOWs, and budget variances.
• Experience using Jira to manage backlogs, sprint work, issues, and delivery reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plan, roadmap, milestones, dependencies, resource plan, budget, and executive presentations.
• Lead Workday Adaptive Planning delivery from discovery and requirements through configuration, integrations, data validation, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage the backlog with business owners, track impediments, and coordinate work across Finance, HR, IT, and implementation partners.
• Coordinate workforce planning processes and dependencies, including planning assumptions, headcount or position data, reporting needs, and connections to source systems.
• Provide senior leadership with clear status, decisions, risks, issues, financials, and delivery forecasts.
• Manage resource hours and costs, SOWs, vendor work, cloud or platform expenses, and budget variance reporting.
• Support Agile and hybrid delivery, maintaining structured timelines and governance while helping teams resolve blockers.

Required Experience

• Leading enterprise Workday Adaptive Planning projects or programs, preferably involving workforce planning and financial planning.
• Managing cross-functional business and technical teams through large platform implementations or transformations.
• Working knowledge of planning models, data integrations, reporting and dashboards, testing, and user adoption within Adaptive Planning.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting skills.
• Ability to lead both technical and business discussions and manage delivery risk in a large organization.

Preferred Experience

• Healthcare or insurance industry experience.
• Hands-on experience using Clarity for resource allocation, timesheets, reporting, and budget variance management.
• Experience with Workday HCM or Financial Management data feeding Adaptive Planning.
