Python Developer

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong financial services/domain experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and data-processing solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on Python development experience along with knowledge of banking, financial services, capital markets, payments, or investment systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Python.
• Build reusable, scalable, and high-performance Python applications.
• Perform data manipulation, transformation, validation, and processing using Python.
• Develop APIs and integrate applications with internal and external systems.
• Work with SQL databases for data retrieval, analysis, and application development.
• Develop automated scripts and solutions for financial data processing and reporting.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data teams, QA, and other engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Follow coding standards, testing practices, and CI/CD processes.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with strong Python expertise.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for backend/server-side development.
• Strong knowledge of Python data manipulation and transformation.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases.
• Experience with Git and software development best practices.
• Experience with unit testing and debugging.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Finance Domain Experience – Required:

• Experience working in Banking / Financial Services / Capital Markets / Investment / Payments / Insurance environments.
• Understanding of financial data, transactions, portfolios, risk, trading, payments, or regulatory processes.
• Experience developing applications or data solutions for financial systems is preferred.
