GenAI Engineer LLM

Job Title: GenAI Engineer LLM Location: Raleigh, NC Relocation Required Duration: 6+ Months Contract-to-Hire

We are looking for a hands-on GenAI Engineer with strong experience building and deploying LLM and Agentic AI solutions in production environments.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Design, develop, and deploy Agentic AI and multi-step/multi-agent systems, including agent coordination, architecture, and orchestration.
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using LLMs, vector search, embeddings, retrieval, and reranking techniques.
• Develop multiple AI-powered bots/applications capable of supporting a large volume of end users.
• Own the complete AI development lifecycle, from research and POC through development, testing, optimization, and production deployment.
• Troubleshoot and optimize RAG challenges such as retrieval relevance, latency, hallucinations, and context limitations.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on programming skills and experience working with large production codebases.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into scalable GenAI solutions.

Preferred Background:

• 5+ years of professional industry experience with clear career progression.
• Strong U.S.-based professional experience across multiple organizations is preferred.
• Startup experience is a plus, particularly candidates who have handled multiple technical responsibilities.
• Master's degree or higher preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and AI/ML frameworks.
• Candidates should be able to clearly explain their technical decisions, research, POCs, and production implementations during interviews.
