AOV Small works engineer

We are looking for an AOV Small Works Engineer to join our clients Operations & Small Works team. This is a field-based role delivering AOV and smoke-control remedial, upgrade and small installation works across London and the South East.

Location: London & South East- field based
Salary: £55,000 DOE
Monday - Friday with On call rota

Key Responsibilities

• Complete AOV and smoke-control remedial, upgrade and small installation works.
• Install and replace actuators, control panels, power supplies, detectors, interfaces and associated equipment.
• Carry out electrical alterations, cabling, containment and terminations.
• Fault-find and assist with diagnosis, escalating complex issues where required.
• Complete works in line with approved scopes, drawings and specifications.
• Support testing and commissioning of completed works.
• Record labour, materials, defects and completed works accurately.
• Identify and report additional defects or remedial requirements.
• Work safely and professionally in occupied residential and commercial properties.
• Develop technical knowledge through manufacturer and specialist AOV training.

About You

• Practical experience in AOV, smoke control, electrical installation or small works.
• Strong electrical installation and fault-finding skills.
• Experience installing or repairing AOV/smoke-control equipment.
• Relevant electrical qualifications and demonstrable competence.
• Able to work independently and deliver high-quality work.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with fire alarm systems and AOV interfaces/cause-and-effect is advantageous.
