Job Description

Associate Geotechnical Engineer

Location: LondonSalary: £70,000 - £80,000

An established engineering consultancy is looking for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join their London team. This is a senior position suited to a Chartered Engineer with around 10 years' experience across ground investigation and geotechnical design.

The role will involve a combination of technical delivery, project management, client liaison and supporting the continued growth of the geotechnical team.

The Role
  • Lead and deliver geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and construction.
  • Manage ground investigation projects, including planning, specification and interpretation of results.
  • Undertake and review geotechnical analysis and design.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
  • Provide technical input across multidisciplinary infrastructure and development projects.
  • Manage project budgets, programmes and resources.
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors and other design disciplines.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and senior engineers.
  • Support business development and help develop existing client relationships.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the geotechnical team.
About You
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Around 10 years' experience in geotechnical engineering.
  • Strong experience across ground investigation and geotechnical design.
  • Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant design standards.
  • Experience managing projects and working directly with clients.
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills.
  • Commercially aware with an interest in business development and team development.
  • Full UK driving licence desirable.
