Job Overview

Seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with strong expertise in Guidewire BillingCenter development and integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Gosu, Java, Guidewire Integration Framework, web services, XML, messaging, and batch processing, along with a solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.

The candidate will work with Agile teams to design, develop, enhance, integrate, and support scalable Guidewire insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and support Guidewire BillingCenter applications.
• Develop and enhance workflows, business rules, plugins, batch processes, and web services.
• Build and maintain integrations using the Guidewire Integration Framework.
• Develop integrations using XML, APIs, messaging, and web services.
• Perform unit testing using GUnit/JUnit.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform debugging, and resolve defects.
• Participate in code reviews, code merges, and release activities.
• Support Guidewire upgrades and environment management.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, architects, and other development teams.
• Work within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Develop scalable and reusable insurance application components.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter Development.
• Strong programming experience with Gosu and Java.
• Experience with Guidewire Integration Framework.

• Experience with GUnit/JUnit testing.
• Knowledge of J2EE Application Servers, RDBMS, and Middleware platforms.
• Experience with middleware technologies such as MuleSoft, WebMethods, WebSphere ESB, or similar.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and policy administration processes.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, source control, and release management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing reusable APIs, adapters, and integration components.
• Experience with Guidewire upgrades.
• Knowledge of multi-tier application architectures.
• Experience leading development teams or coordinating with onshore/offshore teams.
• Guidewire certification is preferred.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant professional experience in Guidewire development, particularly BillingCenter, is required.
