Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Financial Accounting Systems Administrator in Seattle, WA.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Systems Support (35%):

  • Provide daily support for Oracle EBS R12, OBIEE, MarkView, and related finance applications
  • Support core Oracle Finance modules including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, and Purchasing
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned business processes and system functionality
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate timely resolution
  • Utilize SQL queries to research issues, validate data, reconcile transactions, and support reporting requirements
  • Maintain system configurations, hierarchies, user attributes, and application settings
  • Support month-end close activities and ensure system availability during critical finance processing periods

Business Analysis & System Enhancements (25%)

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from Finance and operational stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and technology solutions
  • Partner with IT teams and vendors to evaluate, design, test, and implement system enhancements
  • Participate in application upgrades, integrations, interface development, and data migration initiatives
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, issue tracking, and validation
  • Provide recommendations to improve system functionality, operational efficiency, and user experience

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence (15%)

  • Analyze financial processes and identify opportunities to improve controls, efficiency, and automation
  • Partner with Finance and IT teams to streamline workflows and optimize system performance
  • Monitor business processes, resolve bottlenecks, and support continuous improvement initiatives

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years supporting Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules including AP, AR, GL, Fixed Assets, and Purchasing
  • Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, and process improvement experience
  • Experience performing root-cause analysis and troubleshooting production issues
  • Experience supporting month-end close processes and financial operations
  • Experience working directly with Finance, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Knowledge of user provisioning, application security, audit controls, access reviews, and compliance requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business users
  • Ability to create and modify SQL queries for reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and data validation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MarkView, OBIEE, Oracle APEX, and Oracle system integrations
  • Experience supporting APIs and enterprise application integrations
  • Experience supporting enterprise ERP enhancements and implementation projects
  • Familiarity with SOX controls, audit processes, and financial system governance

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
