Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Tallahassee, FL 

Introduction:

Support application modernization and ongoing software maintenance through comprehensive manual and automated testing. This role develops and executes test plans, builds automation frameworks, validates APIs and microservices, and collaborates with business and technical teams to ensure applications meet requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute formal test plans, test cases, and scripts based on business and technical requirements.

• Perform manual testing to validate application functionality and identify software defects.

• Design, build, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks using Selenium or similar tools and approaches such as Page Object Model.

• Update automation scripts to accommodate user interface changes and new features.

• Test REST APIs and microservices, including endpoint validation, contract checks, and payload verification.

• Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business users.

• Participate in Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and design, development, and testing meetings.

• Translate requirements into technical specifications, process models, and test scenarios.

• Document defects, investigate root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

• Maintain technical documentation and ensure deliverables conform to established standards.

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Business Analysis.

• At least 7 years of experience working in Agile software development environments.

• At least 7 years of manual testing and automated testing experience, including Selenium or similar tools.

• At least 7 years of experience designing and maintaining custom automation frameworks and updating test scripts.

• At least 7 years of experience with Azure DevOps and/or Team Foundation Server (TFS).

• At least 7 years of experience with JAD techniques and UAT.

• At least 7 years of experience facilitating business process discussions, translating requirements into technical specifications and process flows, and creating technical documentation.

• At least 7 years of experience collaborating with stakeholders to clarify requirements, understand data needs, and resolve issues.

• At least 5 years of REST API and microservices testing experience.

• Proficiency with Postman, Insomnia, or similar API testing tools.

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage testing activities against a project plan.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology-related field.
