Job Title: Senior Automation Architect

Location: Woodlawn, MD
Work Arrangement: Onsite – 5 Days a Week

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 5+ years, Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years, or 13+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, with Java preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Experience developing test automation scripts for features, test scenarios, and step definitions within customized automation frameworks.

• Extensive experience building Selenium automation frameworks using JUnit or TestNG.

• Proficiency in Maven for building and executing automated test suites.

• Experience creating and executing manual test scripts, documenting test results, and reporting defects.

• Practical experience using Parasoft for functional testing, API testing, and service virtualization.

• Experience with additional automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or UiPath.

• Knowledge of relational databases, including PostgreSQL, DB2, or Oracle, and SQL for test data validation.

• Experience configuring and maintaining Selenium Grid for parallel and cross-platform testing.

• Strong experience automating REST APIs using REST Assured or other Java-based libraries.

• Knowledge of web service technologies, including REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.

• Comprehensive understanding of Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies and Agile ceremonies.

• Experience configuring and executing automated regression suites through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and/or Selenium Grid.

• Experience testing web services using customized automation frameworks and tools such as Parasoft, REST Assured, and SOAP UI.

• Experience serving as a Scrum Master on an Agile software development project.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Git and Stash for source code management, version control, and pull request workflows.

• Familiarity with the Social Security Administration (SSA) development environment and tools such as VersionOne (Agility), Confluence, SonarQube, and Checkmarx.

• Experience working with AWS, Docker, and other cloud technologies.

• Exposure to AI-assisted test automation development.

• Experience designing and implementing self-healing automation frameworks.

• Knowledge of synthetic test data generation techniques, including AI-assisted approaches.

• Experience configuring and executing automated tests in containerized environments.

• Advanced knowledge of Jenkins pipelines and Selenium Grid for scalable regression testing.
