Summary
The Service Engineer will be part of the Building Automation Engineering team, responsible for supporting global data center infrastructure. This role involves designing, reviewing, and maintaining building automation and control systems to ensure reliable data center operations.
Responsibilities

Review Building Automation System (BAS) designs, engineering deliverables, controls schematics, sequences of operations, and network architecture documentation.
Drive standardization of building automation designs across global data centers, ensuring alignment with established engineering standards.
Support construction and commissioning activities by reviewing design drawings, executing testing scripts, validating system performance, and resolving technical issues.
Collaborate with vendors, integrators, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of facility controls systems.
Maintain documentation for design changes, lessons learned, and engineering standards to improve future data center deployments.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Client engineering, with hands-on experience in designing, programming, or commissioning BAS environments.
Experience in mission-critical environments such as data centers, critical facilities, or hospitals.
Familiarity with controls design documents, sequences of operations, and related technical documentation.
Experience with commissioning activities, testing, issue resolution, and validation of building automation systems.
Knowledge of major DDC platforms and building automation protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.

Skills

Proficiency with design and documentation tools including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Visio.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings and communicate design intent to stakeholders.
Experience authoring or maintaining engineering standards across a portfolio of projects.
Familiarity with major DDC vendors such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Automated Logic.
Experience in a vendor or consulting model is preferred.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $80.00 - $85.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
