Job description

Hiring for AWS Architect @ Charlotte, NC for a W2 position.

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to design, develop, and lead scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in AWS architecture, cloud migration, networking, security, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, highly available AWS cloud architectures.

  • Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.

  • Architect solutions using EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, and other AWS services.

  • Design AWS networking, security, identity, and access management solutions.

  • Develop infrastructure using Terraform / CloudFormation.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.

  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS for containerized workloads.

  • Establish cloud governance, monitoring, logging, cost optimization, and security best practices.

  • Collaborate with application, data, security, and DevOps teams to define technical solutions.

  • Create HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, standards, and technical documentation.

  • Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and production issues.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering, with strong AWS experience.

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS architecture and Well-Architected Framework.

  • Expertise in AWS networking, IAM, security, compute, storage, and databases.

  • Strong experience with Terraform / CloudFormation.

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, and CI/CD.

  • Strong understanding of microservices and cloud-native architecture.

  • Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.

  • Knowledge of CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, GuardDuty, KMS, and security best practices.

  • Experience with cloud migration strategies such as rehost, replatform, refactor, and modernization.

  • Excellent architecture, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional/Associate.

  • Experience with multi-account AWS environments, landing zones, Control Tower, and Organizations.

  • Experience with serverless, event-driven architecture, Kafka, API Gateway, and enterprise integration.

  • Experience with FinOps and AWS cost optimization.
