Our Fortune 500 client is looking for a Sr. Azure Data Architect on their project based in US.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities

Cloud Architect/Team Lead (about 50% architecture, 50% project management)

  • Senior-level experience leading enterprise Azure data architecture, platform strategy, security, governance and multidisciplinary data engineering teams
  • Lead ADAW cloud data architecture, lakehouse design, data ingestion and retention standards
  • Manage integration projects and enhancement requests through agile delivery in Azure DevOps
  • Translate business requirements into tasks for the data engineering team and report status, risks and milestones
  • Manage budgets, staff hours, weekly/monthly status reports and invoices with the PA manager
  • Lead API, batch, streaming and SFTP integrations; monitor Power BI Premium capacity and Synapse performance
  • Own security architecture: IAM, role-based access controls and key management

Split time across:

  • new integrations and enhancements (50%), maintenance and support (25%), and documentation and program management (25%). Allocations may vary with project priorities.

Qualifications

Required (demonstrated hands-on experience)

  • Microsoft Azure: Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks and DevOps
  • Relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server
  • Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
  • Agile delivery and translating business requirements into technical solutions

Preferred

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (not mandatory; equivalent project experience is accepted)
  • The client sets no minimum years of experience, degree or clearance requirement.
