Do you have a strong background in providing IT/ technical support to customers? If so, this new Technical Support Engineer position could be the perfect next step for you.
My client is looking to recruit a highly motivated and personable Technical Support Engineer to provide remote customer support for their specialist machinery. This role will be focused on diagnosing faults, supporting customers remotely, and delivering high-quality technical assistance across a broad range of disciplines.

The Role - Technical Support Engineer:

  • Providing day-to-day remote support to customers via phone, email and remote access systems
  • Handling cases for laser systems, including software, networking, mechanical, electrical, error codes, and hardware-related issues.
  • Working as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Diagnosing and fixing faults on machines, mainly electrical and system issues
  • Guiding customers through troubleshooting and resolving problems
  • Raising quotes for parts, servicing and repairs using internal systems
  • Working closely with field engineers when needed
  • Using Salesforce CRM
  • Installing and setting up software for customers
  • Ensuring all customer issues are resolved quickly and effectively
The Right Person - Technical Support Engineer:
  • Experience providing remote support to customers in IT, networking or engineering
  • Has a strong IT and network background or experience
  • Strong working knowledge of remote desktop tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient using a CRM system for caseload management or similar
  • Happy to work in a fully office-based role.
  • Commutable to NE35 postcode daily with use of own vehicle.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.
  • Happy to travel for product training.
Salary/ Package - Technical Support Engineer:
  • Salary £30,000-£35,000 DOE
  • Extensive training and personal development
  • Day shifts: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Full Company product training
