Production / Technical Support

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Production Support Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity.

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented application production services engineering specialist to join a prime brokerage (PB) team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on production support for core services including global stock lending, client reporting, and the Dynamic Pricing Environment (DPE). The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting mission-critical systems and collaborating closely with development, operations, and business teams to maintain and improve production support capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second line support for prime brokerage applications focusing on client reporting and dynamic pricing environment
• Monitor production environment to ensure availability and performance of systems, identifying and resolving issues in real-time
• Troubleshoot technical and functional issues related to PB services, liaising with development teams and other enterprise teams for resolution of complex issues
• Perform root cause analysis and propose tactical and strategic solutions for recurring production incidents
• Support deployments and releases, resiliency and disaster recovery exercises ensuring smooth integration
• Work with business stakeholders to understand service impact and prioritize resolution efforts
• Manage, document and communicate outages to senior business and technology stakeholders as well as follow ups to eliminate repeat occurrences
• Drive process improvements and plant automation, and develop and deliver automation strategy

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in production support, with a focus on financial services
• Evidence of building strong relationships with both development and business partners
• Evidence of a strong risk culture
• ITIL Service Operations - Incident, Problem, Service Request Management Alert Management/Monitoring
• Evidence of driving a culture of continuous service improvement
• Hands-on technical and analytical ability to solve complex issues
• Excellent communication skills and able to effectively communicate to senior management and LOB partners
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ITRS Geneos, Dynatrace
• Ability to work in a high pressure, time-sensitive environment
• Scripting in Python 3 / Shell Scripting
• Job scheduling / Batch Management

Desired skills:

• Prime Brokerage experience is preferred
• Good knowledge of the Prime Brokerage business
• Familiarity with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools, with a focus on developing and running automation strategies to improve operational efficiency

Pay range: $30.83 - $38.83 per hour
