Lead DevOps Engineer/ Cloud Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead DevOps Engineer / Cloud Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform and modern cloud-native technologies. This role combines solution architecture, hands-on implementation, automation, and technical leadership.

The candidate will design and implement secure, scalable, highly available, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions, develop reusable platform components, and support engineering teams through delivery and production operations. Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform networking, IAM, Terraform, CI/CD, Kubernetes, serverless, observability, data platforms, and Generative AI is required. Solid AWS experience is expected; Azure is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cloud, DevOps, and platform architecture, translating business and technical requirements into practical designs and implementation plans.
• Develop hands-on POCs, Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and reusable platform patterns.
• Design and support enterprise Google Cloud Platform environments, including multi-project architecture, landing zones, Shared VPC, Private Service Connect, Cloud DNS, load balancing, routing, and firewall policies.
• Implement Google Cloud Platform IAM, service accounts, Workload Identity, Workload Identity Federation, OIDC/OAuth, and security guardrails.
• Design and operate production GKE environments, including upgrades, autoscaling, security, networking, observability, backup, and DR.
• Build cloud-native solutions using Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Support data platforms including Dataproc, Dataform, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
• Build and operationalize Generative AI solutions using Gemini, Vertex AI, and agent-based architectures.
• Design and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, deployment, and rollback.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and support GitOps-based deployment workflows.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, SLOs, disaster recovery, and production support processes.
• Lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with application, data, security, AI/ML, and operations teams.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or SRE with strong hands-on technical leadership.
• Deep hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience covering enterprise landing zones, multi-project environments, networking, IAM, GKE, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.
• Strong knowledge of Shared VPC, Private Service Connect, Workload Identity, Serverless VPC Access, and Google Cloud Platform security.
• Experience with Dataproc, Dataform, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, GitOps, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Bash.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, observability, reliability, DR, performance, and cost optimization.
• Ability to personally design, implement, test, troubleshoot, and support production solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Gemini Agent Platform, Vertex AI, Generative AI, and AI/ML operationalization.
• Strong AWS experience with IAM, VPC, EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Google Cloud DevOps/Security/Network certifications or CKA/CKAD/CKS.
• Azure architecture experience.
