Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Client: Global engineering/manufacturing company
Location: Peterborough
Hourly Rate: £29.03 PAYE or £38.16 Umbrella
Duration: 9 months
Working arrangements: Fully site based
About the Role:
My client is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, improvement and delivery of manufacturing processes across Assembly and Final Assembly value streams. This 9-month contract role will focus on driving safety, quality, velocity and cost improvements, delivering manufacturing projects, supporting New Product Introduction activities, and providing technical support for process development, equipment improvements and manufacturing system capability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on manufacturing projects across Assembly and Final Assembly, supporting productivity, efficiency, cost improvements and successful product introduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver process design, PFMEA, control plans, standard work and documentation.
- Support manufacturing improvement, development and New Product Introduction projects from initiation through to implementation, managing scope, resources, timing and delivery.
- Develop and implement process improvements, ensuring safe installation, robust operation and compliance with quality, safety and customer requirements.
Key Skills:
- Manufacturing experience within an industrial environment
- Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
