Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer<br />Role: Electro-mechanical Systems<br />Location: Cambridge<br />Salary: £55k-£65k (dependant on experience)<br />About The Role:<br />Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer that designs and develops complex hardware for precision electro-mechanical systems and advanced manufacturing applications, from early-stage R&amp;D through to full production. You’ll be joining a talented, multidisciplinary team working at the cutting edge of innovation, delivering robust mechanical solutions that integrate seamlessly into larger, system-level platforms.<br />Key

Responsibilities:

• Design &amp; deliver complex mechanical subsystems within integrated platforms
• Full product lifecycle development – concept generation, detailed design &amp; design for manufacture
• Conduct hands-on prototyping &amp; testing
• 3D CAD design
• Work in a highly skilled multidisciplinary engineering team<br />Key

Requirements:

• Background in developing electro-mechanical systems, mechanisms, motors, gearboxes or actuators
• Strong 3D CAD skills
• Proven experience in developing products through the full product life cycle
• Knowledge of a range of manufacturing techniques
• Hands on and practical skills – prototyping &amp; testing
