Role Description: 

The Java Developer shall have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and computer/network operating system and other system software.

Years/Level of Experience

Experience with J2EE technologies such as Core Java, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WASD, Web sphere, RAD and Servlets                 5+ Years

Experience with JavaScript, HTML, SSL                                                                                                                                                    5+ Years

Experience required with deployment platforms such as Maven, Jenkins and OpenShift                                                             5+ Years

Strong Experience with Node.js, React JS and Angular JS GUI skills.                                                                                                   5+ Years

Experience writing and calling REST based/JSON API Design.                                                                                                              5+ Years

The Java Developer shall have extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and computer/network operating system and other system software.  Has developed detailed and robust requirements, code, test, and implement proposed systems.   Hands-on experience with projects supporting Service Oriented Architecture principles.  Works without technical oversight of a team as required.    Shall also possess strong oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to SSA counterparts.

Required Skills

·         Client Onsite Requirement 5 days per week in Woodlawn, MD. 

· ·         10+ Years SSA Direct experience required. Strong Experience with Node.js, React JS and Angular JS GUI skills.

·         Strong Experience with Ajax, HTML5 and CSS3.

·         Must have experience writing and calling REST based/JSON API Design.

·         Must have experience with Spring Boot, Restlet and Jetty.

·         Must have experience with Jetty and Java 8 SE.

·         Must have experience with Agile development Methodologies and frameworks.

·         Must have experience developing web applications that use PostgreSQL or some other relational database

·         Experience with J2EE technologies such as Core Java, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WASD, Web sphere, RAD and Servlets.

·         Experience with JavaScript, HTML, SSL.

·         Experience required with deployment platforms such as Maven, Jenkins and OpenShift.

·         Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within OO application systems.

·         Solid OOD/OOP foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation.

·         Communication skills to present ideas and concepts effectively; strong and proven problem solving.

·         Self-managed with the ability to mentor others.

·         Familiarity with project management frameworks.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10+ years or more of professional experience, and at least 10 years experience at SSA specifically.
