Job Description

Engineering Team Lead

We’re recruiting for an experienced Engineering Team Lead to join a busy food manufacturing site in County Down.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a strong electrical engineer who enjoys leading from the front, supporting a small engineering team and keeping production running efficiently.

You’ll be responsible for :

  • Leading and supporting a team of engineers and technicians
  • Coordinating day-to-day maintenance priorities
  • Reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability
  • Supporting OEE, MTTR and maintenance KPIs
  • Planning preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Leading fault finding and root cause analysis
  • Supporting PLCs, motors, drives and automated production equipment
  • Managing critical spare parts and engineering supplies
  • Working closely with Production, Quality and Operations
  • Supporting energy reduction and sustainability initiatives

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong electrical engineering experience
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers
  • Preventative and reactive maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery, motors and drives
  • Strong health & safety awareness
