Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead engineer to lead the development, enhancement, and optimization
of HVAC cooling products, including CRAH, AHU, Fan Wall, and related thermal management systems. The role will
act as the primary technical interface between the client engineering organization and offshore engineering teams,
driving product innovation, new product development, manufacturability improvements, modularization,
engineering change management, risk assessment, validation activities, and production readiness. This position
requires strong technical leadership, hands-on design expertise, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional
engineering efforts from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Gather engineering requirements, define project priorities, and drive execution plans.
Develop and review 3D CAD models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks.
Lead New Product Development (NPD) initiatives and support Stage-Gate product development processes.
Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), modularization, and product optimization
initiatives.
Lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) activities to identify design risks, implement
mitigation plans, and improve product reliability.
Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to perform Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
(PFMEA) and mitigate production and process-related risks.
Support equipment and process qualification activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ, to ensure manufacturing
readiness and compliance with product and process requirements.
Establish design verification and validation plans, define acceptance criteria, and ensure designs meet
engineering, product, quality, and customer requirements.
Develop and execute prototype and product testing plans, analyse test results, document findings, and drive
corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure complete engineering documentation packages, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, assembly
instructions, validation reports, and technical documentation.
Conduct weekly design review meetings and provide technical guidance to onsite and offshore engineering
teams.
Manage engineering changes, product enhancements, continuous improvement initiatives, and lifecycle
management activities.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure design feasibility,
manufacturability, and successful product launch.
Track project schedules, technical risks, quality metrics, and delivery commitments.
Ensure compliance with customer standards, industry regulations, quality requirements, and engineering
best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
12+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development.

Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for complex 3D modeling, assemblies, and design documentation.
Experience with HVAC products such as CRAH, CRAC, AHU, Fan Wall, or other thermal management systems.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, structural assemblies, manufacturing processes, product lifecycle
management, and engineering documentation.
Proven experience in NPD, product architecture development, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, PFMEA, engineering
change management (ECN/ECR), and validation activities.
Experience in design verification, product testing, qualification processes, and root cause analysis.
Strong project coordination, stakeholder management, and customer-facing communication skills.
Experience leading and mentoring distributed engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to CFD and FEA analysis.
Experience with VAVE, cost optimization, and product standardization initiatives.
Knowledge of HVAC industry standards, qualification protocols, testing methodologies, and certification
requirements.
Experience working directly with global customers and offshore engineering delivery models.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, PLM/PDM systems, and engineering change management processes.
