Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to provide functional and technical analysis support for PeopleSoft HRMS and Financials systems. The role will work closely with the existing PeopleSoft team, business stakeholders, and technical developers.

The position will serve as a senior functional/techno-functional Finance lead with strong cross-functional HRMS knowledge, focusing on ChartField redesigns, timekeeping/payroll-to-General Ledger integration, and financial and payroll year-end close cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • ChartField Redesign and Accounting Structure

    • Re-architect the Chart of Accounts (COA), trees, combination edits, and distribution templates across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Purchasing (PO), and Project Costing.

    • Manage data conversion and mapping from legacy to new ChartField structures.

  • Timekeeping and Payroll-to-GL Interfaces

    • Support Time and Labor (T&L) and Absence Management integration with North American Payroll.

    • Design and troubleshoot cross-pillar labor distribution accounting entries into General Ledger, including PAYGL01 and PAYGL02.

  • Year-End Financial and Payroll Processing

    • Manage Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) year-end activities, including ledger close routines, encumbrance and purchase order balance rollovers, asset capitalization, 1099 processing, and open-period cutovers.

    • Support HCM year-end activities, including Time and Labor leave balance adjustments, payroll tax reconciliations, and W-2/year-end balance verification.

  • Cross-Pillar Governance

    • Align HR and Payroll cost-center changes with Finance reporting rules to prevent interface rejections and unbalanced journals.

    • Provide functional and technical analysis support across PeopleSoft HRMS and Financials systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.).

  • 10 or more years of experience as a PeopleSoft Business Systems Analyst working with PeopleSoft Financials and HRMS.

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting PeopleSoft HRMS and Finance applications in the public sector.

  • Experience with ticketing systems.

  • Experience working in a team environment and providing updates on work items, including production support issues.

  • Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
