Python Developer

Introduction

This position is for a Python Developer who will be part of a team that supports voice biometrics and works with real-time voice data. The developer will be responsible for supporting backend/data pipeline infrastructure, working on ETL pipelines, automating conversion processes, and maintaining platform stability.

Responsibilities

• Support the existing backend/data pipeline infrastructure
• Work on ETL pipelines
• Automate portions of the existing conversion process
• Help maintain platform stability
• Support planned technology/network upgrades
• Potentially work on APIs when needed
• Build applications around existing data pipelines

Technical Environment

AWS / Data Technologies

The team uses AWS, AWS Glue, Snowflake, and Spark/PySpark. Snowflake is not a hard requirement — the hiring team indicated that general SQL knowledge matters more, since most of the underlying data modeling has already been completed.

Python Libraries / Frameworks

Two technologies were specifically highlighted by the technical team:

• PySpark — important
• AsyncIO — heavily used, particularly on the API side (a plus rather than a strict requirement, but hands-on experience should be prioritized)

Not Required

• Java: not used by the team
• NumPy/Pandas: not particularly important
• Advanced data modeling: not required
• Snowflake: helpful but not mandatory
