Senior Python Engineer (AI Integrations & Cloud)

Position Overview

Client is seeking highly skilled Senior Python Engineers to join a strategic technology initiative focused on building AI-enabled platforms, integrations, and cloud-native services. This is an opportunity to work on impactful engineering projects involving modern AI solutions, scalable APIs, and cloud architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

We are looking for hands-on senior developers with deep Python expertise, strong cloud experience, and recent exposure to meaningful AI implementations. Candidates must have a software engineering background and should not primarily come from AI/ML Operations or infrastructure-focused roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services.
• Build and integrate AI-powered solutions into enterprise platforms and business workflows.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI and related frameworks.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions, preferably within AWS environments.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python development within enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience developing APIs and integrations using FastAPI or similar modern frameworks.
• Hands-on cloud experience, with AWS strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working on AI-driven projects within the last 2 years.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into products, applications, or business workflows.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building Generative AI applications or AI-enabled business solutions.
• Familiarity with LLM integrations, vector databases, RAG architectures, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Financial services or regulated industry experience is a plus.
