NO NIGHTS | Rotating Earlies &amp; Backshift | Minimum 38 Hours per Week Keep the UK's Biggest Distribution Operations Moving We're looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated distribution and logistics operation.

Working within a fast-paced warehouse environment, you'll maintain, fault-find and improve a wide range of automated material handling equipment that keeps products flowing to customers across the UK.

This is an excellent temporary contract opportunity for engineers from automated warehouses, FMCG, manufacturing, distribution centres, parcel hubs, airports, baggage handling operations, or other high-speed automated environments.

Typical Equipment Conveyor systems<br />Automated sortation systems<br />ASRS (Automated Storage &amp; Retrieval Systems)<br />Pallet handling equipment<br />Cranes and shuttle systems<br />Automated packing and labelling machinery<br />Gearboxes, bearings, chains and sprockets<br />Motors, rollers and drives<br />Pneumatic and mechanical handling systems<br />Robotics and automation equipment Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Reactive breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime<br />Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)<br />Mechanical fault-finding on automated equipment<br />Replacing and repairing bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes and motors<br />Continuous improvement and reliability projects<br />Supporting operational performance and site uptime targets<br />Ensuring compliance with health, safety and engineering standards Ideal Background - Mechanical Maintenance Engineer We welcome applications from engineers with experience in:
