Description

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen and advance our security environment. This role focuses on protecting enterprise systems, networks, cloud platforms, and web-based applications through practical engineering and continuous risk reduction. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, sound judgment in incident response, and the ability to collaborate across teams to improve security operations and compliance.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance security controls that protect infrastructure, networks, and business-critical systems from evolving threats.

Continuously review security events, investigate suspicious activity, and coordinate timely response efforts to contain and resolve incidents.

Confirm that technical environments meet established security requirements and support secure day-to-day system operation and maintenance.

Assess potential weaknesses across systems and applications, then drive remediation plans to reduce exposure and prevent compromise.

Partner with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to embed security practices into architecture, deployment, and operational processes.

Evaluate emerging cybersecurity tools, attack trends, and defensive practices to recommend meaningful improvements to the organization's security posture.

Help ensure alignment with applicable data protection expectations and recognized security standards through controls, documentation, and operational support.

Provide technical advice to internal stakeholders on secure configuration, firewall technologies, email security, and broader security best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. At least 8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, information security, or a closely related field. Demonstrated knowledge of security architecture spanning networks, cloud environments, web applications, and enterprise security systems. Hands-on experience with technologies such as Check Point, Cisco ASA, firewall administration, intrusion detection or prevention platforms, and configuration management.

Familiarity with established security frameworks and standards, including ISO 27000 series and other common governance or compliance models. Proven ability to analyze threats, identify vulnerabilities, and implement effective protective and corrective controls. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. Relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or comparable credentials, are preferred.
