Field Service Engineer

Duties of the Field Engineer:

• Diagnose, assess and repair faulty shower enclosures and bath screens in customers' homes.
• Install showroom displays for retail partners.
• Carry out regular inspections and maintenance of showroom displays.
• Liaise with the Customer Service team, providing updates on service visits and outcomes.
• Provide telephone assistance and technical advice to customers when required.
• Maintain van stock levels and ensure service parts are available and organised.
• Submit daily service reports, including photographs and details of completed work.
• Identify opportunities for product improvement and communicate feedback to the Product Manager.
• Carry out chargeable service visits and installations as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Represent Lakes professionally and competently at all times.
• Maintain the company vehicle in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition.
• Assist with the build and dismantling of exhibition stands and trade show displays.
• Repackage faulty or damaged products for return to Head Office.
• Carry out special deliveries of Lakes products when required.
• Liaise with Sales Managers and other internal stakeholders as necessary.
• Support wider business activities as required by the Field Service Manager.

Requirements for the Field Engineer:

• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
• Experience fitting shower enclosures would be advantageous.
• Good mechanical aptitude with a practical and technical mindset.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Physically fit and capable of handling and lifting products safely.
• IT literate and comfortable using mobile devices and reporting systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Additional Information for the Field Engineer:

• Monday to Friday
• £33,000 Per Annum.
• Covering a large region of Southern England including Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
• Additional travel may be required to support surrounding areas, provide holiday cover, and meet wide business needs. Occasional overnight stays may also be required.
