Overview 
Experienced Java/AWS Developer Consultant expertise to design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-grade Power Systems applications that enable load forecasting, outage coordination, and other critical energy operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong Java development skills, hands-on AWS cloud experience, and the ability to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions in a mission-critical environment. 
Key Responsibilities 
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based Power Systems applications. 
• Design scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, AWS Step Functions, and cloudnative AWS services. 
• Build and support integrations between enterprise applications and data platforms. 
• Ensure application reliability, scalability, security, and performance. 
• Support modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and microservices adoption. 
• Collaborate with system operators, planners, data engineers, and cloud engineers. 
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 
• Implement monitoring, automation, logging, and operational support processes. 
• Provide technical leadership for enhancements, upgrades, and performance optimization. 
Required Skills & Qualifications 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 
• Experience developing Java applications in energy, utilities, or large enterprise environments. 
• Senior-level candidates should have experience leading architecture, modernization, or cloud transformation initiatives. 
Technical Skills 
• Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices. 
• AWS services including EC2, EKS/ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, and Step Functions. 
• Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, and enterprise relational databases. 
• Enterprise integration patterns and workflow orchestration. 
• Understanding of Power Systems, Load Forecasting, Outage Coordination, or Energy Operations. 
• Exposure to ML/AI applications such as time-series analytics and forecasting. 
• CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and cloud operations. 
Soft Skills 
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. 
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission-critical environment.
